PDP Guber Aspirant Promises Better Deal In Ogun

...........

A former House of Representatives member and a gubernatorial aspirant under the umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ogun State, Hon Jelili Kayode Amusan has promised a better deal for the people of Ogun State if voted into power.

The governorship aspirant while speaking with journalists yesterday after picking the expression of intention form at the party's headquarters, Magbon, Abeokuta, the state capital explained that he was contesting to give a better representation to the people of the state.

Amusan, who represented Abeokuta North/Obafemi-Owode and Odeda federal constituency at the green chamber between 2003 and 2011 regretted that everything had collapsed in the state.

According to the two time federal lawmaker, not only has poverty increased in Ogun State, the state government has continued to increase his debt profile while the education and health sectors are neglected.

"My intention to contest the governorship election 2015 is borne out of the complaints from the people of Ogun State as regards the manner the present administration is governing. Most of their complaints border on economic collapse, most of the people here are increasing in poverty, high increase in debt profile on the part of the state government and most importantly capital flight.

"On the part of education, you'll see that education in the state is collapsing day by day, public schools are in dilapidated states, students are rioting every day, high in school fees. Health sector and most important sectors of the economy are neglected and as a leader in the state who served in the national assembly, we cannot but listen to our people and find a solution to their problems and that is one of my intentions and my mission and vision is to rescue the people of Ogun State.

"I will want to revamp the economy of the state through employment generation, most of the people in the state are jobless and there's no food on their table. In the first days of being in office, either by government policy, fiat or act of the parliament, I will introduce what is called the local content law because the jobs will be domesticated and done by people of the state.”
